CONSTRUCTION CONSULTING

Much like Architecture, I found that I much prefer construction consulting to being an actual contractor! Honestly, I never loved construction hours and it was a wild ride being the only woman on site with hundreds of men. Although I’m grateful for all I learned and experienced, I was happy to move onto the consulting side of the equation!

I really love construction, the challenge of working with so many diverse people and the thrill of actually building something! In construction, the problems are much more real than in Architecture/design, the pressure is more intense and the budgets are better :) . I excel in a construction environment, the fast pace and the multiple types of personalities are a fun and rewarding challenge.

I am well suited for construction consultation because I excel at problem-solving, communication, listening and organization and I am very good at managing contractors. Working in construction (on construction sites) for years has given me an understanding of what needs to happen, how it needs to happen, how long it takes, when it needs to happen and why.

I am also a great go-between for clients, designers and contractors since I speak all three ‘languages’, this gift allows me to greatly reduce mistakes, stress and arguments between the designer, contractor and client.
